Ingredients:

Custard Base

  • 1 cup Prairie Farms All Natural Sour Cream
  • ¾ cup Prairie Farms Whole Milk
  • 3 Large Eggs
  • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • ½ tsp. Kosher Salt
  • ½ cup Raisins optional

Noodles

  • 8 oz. Wide Egg Noodles
  • 4 oz. Prairie Farms Original Cream Cheese room temperature
  • 2 tbsp. Prairie Farms Unsalted Butter softened

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease an 8x8 baking dish and set aside.
  • In large mixing bowl, whisk together sour cream, milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt, and raisins (if using). Set aside.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add noodles and cook for 4-5 minutes, until just tender. Drain well.
  • While noodles are still hot, stir in cream cheese and butter until both are fully melted and noodles are evenly coated.
  • Transfer noodles to bowl with custard. Stir gently until everything is evenly combined.
  • Pour mixture into prepared baking dish. Bake at 350ºF for 40-45 minutes, until edges are golden brown and center is set.
  • Let kugel cool for 15-20 minutes, then slice and serve warm!

Notes

For a richer flavor, try Prairie Farms Holiday Custard in place of the milk, and reduce the sugar to 2 tablespoons!
For a fun finish, sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the top of the kugel before baking.
