Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • ¼ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 cup Prairie Farms Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 tbsp Light Corn Syrup
  • 3 oz Bittersweet Chocolate chopped
  • 2 tbsp Prairie Farms Unsalted Butter
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • Prairie Farms Small Batch Premium Vanilla Ice Cream for serving

Directions:

  • In a small pot, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Add heavy cream and corn syrup, whisk until smooth. Add chopped chocolate.
  • Add pot to a stove over medium-high heat. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil.
  • Reduce temperature to medium-low so the mixture is a vigorous simmer. Simmer until the mixture splits, this could take about 10 minutes.
  • Remove the pot from heat and add to a medium-sized bowl. Add butter, water, and vanilla. Whisk until the mixture comes back together and is smooth and glossy.
  • Serve warm over Vanilla Ice Cream. Store in a jar in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
