Ingredients:

Egg Nog French Toast

  • 6 slices Thick Challah or Brioche Bread
  • 2 large Eggs
  • ½ tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1 pinch Kosher Salt
  • ¾ cup Prairie Farms Egg Nog

Pear-Cranberry Compote

  • 1 Bartlett Pear peeled and diced
  • ½ cup Cranberries
  • 2 Oranges zested and juiced
  • 3 tbsp Granulated Sugar

Optional Toppings

  • Powdered Sugar
  • Whipped Cream

Directions:

Eggnog French Toast Preparation

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and salt
  • Whisk in the Prairie Farms Egg Nog until well-mixed
  • Soak both sides of each slice of bread in the eggnog mixture
  • Warm a large skillet over medium heat. Melt 1 tbsp of butter in the hot pan
  • Cook each slice of bread until browned on each side
  • Arrange on a plate, top with Pear-Cranberry Compote, whipped cream and powdered sugar if using

Pear-Cranberry Compote Preparation

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the pears, cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, and sugar
  • Simmer until fruit is softened, about 10-15 minutes
