Egg Nog French Toast

Thick Challah or Brioche Bread

Eggs

Granulated Sugar

Kosher Salt

Prairie Farms Egg Nog
Pear-Cranberry Compote

Bartlett Pear
peeled and diced
½
cup
Cranberries
2
Oranges
zested and juiced

Granulated Sugar
Optional Toppings
Powdered Sugar
Whipped Cream
Directions:
Eggnog French Toast Preparation
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and salt
Whisk in the Prairie Farms Egg Nog until well-mixed
Soak both sides of each slice of bread in the eggnog mixture
Warm a large skillet over medium heat. Melt 1 tbsp of butter in the hot pan
Cook each slice of bread until browned on each side
Arrange on a plate, top with Pear-Cranberry Compote, whipped cream and powdered sugar if using
Pear-Cranberry Compote Preparation
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the pears, cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, and sugar
Simmer until fruit is softened, about 10-15 minutes
