Faux Fried Ice Cream
Remember getting fried ice cream for dessert as a kid and being absolutely flabbergasted that such a thing even existed? Well, you have the perfect recipe for recreating that amazement in your home, but without the messy oil splatter!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Prairie Farms Vanilla Ice Cream
- 2 tsp margarine
- 1 tbsp finely chopped pecans
- 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1-1/4 cups sugar-coated corn flakes crushed
- 4 tsp honey
Directions:
- Make 4 (1/2-cup) scoops of ice cream; place in shallow baking pan. Store in freezer until needed.
- Melt margarine in small sauce pan. Stir in pecans. Heat and stir over low heat about 10 minutes or until pecans are toasted. Stir in cinnamon.
- In small mixing bowl, toss together nut mixture and crushed corn flakes.
- Quickly roll frozen ice cream balls in cereal mixture.
- Return coated ice cream balls to pan and freeze until ready to serve.
- To serve, drizzle each serving with 1 tsp honey.
