Ingredients:

Hot Chocolate

  • 2 oz unsweetened/bittersweet chocolate chopped
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 4 cups Prairie Farms Whole Vitamin D Milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Whipped Cream

  • 1/2 cup Prairie Farms Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 tbsp confectioners' sugar

Optional

  • Candy Cane
  • cinnamon, ground
  • chocolate shavings

Directions:

Hot Chocolate

  • Melt chocolate and sugar in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat.
  • In separate saucepan, heat whole milk until small bubbles form on top (do not boil).
  • Pour heated milk into chocolate/sugar mixture. Whisk over low heat until smooth.
  • Top with whipped cream.

Whipped Cream

  • In chilled bowl, beat chilled heavy whipping cream and confectioners sugar just until it forms stiff peaks.
  • Stir with candy cane, sprinkle with ground cinnamon, or top with chocolate shavings (optional).
