This Frozen Cookies and Cream Dream is four layers of creamy, crunchy cookie delight! The first layer in your 9x13 pan is the crushed Oreo cookie crust.

Glass baking dish filled with cookies-and-cream dessert topped with crushed chocolate cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 package cream-filled sandwich cookies crushed
  • 1/3 cup margarine melted
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 squares semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 3 eggs separate white and yolks, need both
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 quarts Prairie Farms Vanilla Ice Cream or whatever flavor you like

Directions:

  • Combine crushed cookies, 1/3 cup melted butter or margarine. Divide mixture in half, set half aside for topping. Put other half in bottom of 9" x 13" dish.
  • Cook: sugar, chocolate, 1/2 cup margarine, egg yolks, vanilla and salt. Bring to boil, stirring constantly, then cool 10 minutes.
  • Beat egg whites stiff. Mix with above filling.
  • Spoon over crumbs in dish.
  • Let ice cream soften some and spread over crumbs and filling in dish.
  • Top with crumbs, freeze, cover with foil.
