Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain out water, then set aside.
While pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet over medium heat, then add oil. Once oil is hot, add diced onion and saute until a bit translucent. Add salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning. Add garlic and saute until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
Add ground turkey to skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, breaking apart with a spoon.
While the turkey is cooking, add the marinara sauce and cottage cheese into a blender and blend until smooth.
Once the turkey is cooked through, pour the sauce over the turkey, add the cooked pasta, and stir. Allow to come to a brisk simmer.
Serve and top with fresh parmesan and basil. Enjoy!
