Directions:
Heat a saucepan on medium heat and combine Prairie Farms Heavy Whipping Cream, light corn syrup, dark brown sugar, cocoa powder, and half of the semi sweet chocolate chips. Heat until the chocolate chips are melted and until mixture heats to the soft-ball stage at 240 °F.
Reduce heat to low and combine a teaspoon of French Vanilla ice cream, butter, and remaining semi sweet chocolate chips.
Remove from heat and continue to stir as mixture cools. Fudge will cool down to a thick consistency. Use a rubber spatula to pour mixture into a 16 oz mason jar.
Spoon Prairie Farms French Vanilla Ice Cream into a bowl and pour fudge topping over top. Enjoy!
National Hot Fudge Sundae Day is July 25. Celebrate with a bowl of Prairie Farms Vanilla Ice Cream topped with homemade hot fudge syrup. An ice cream social is hardly complete without this chocolatey, fudge topping. Next time make this topping from scratch. This hot fudge is thick and rich and is made with Prairie Farms cream and butter. It's the perfect addition to a vanilla ice cream sundae. You can add a garnish of Prairie Farms whipped cream and a cherry on top to complete your sundae. This recipe makes enough fudge sauce to be stored in a 16 oz mason jar. Just label and screw on the lid for easy storage. Leftover fudge sauce can be sealed and stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. I like to microwave the sauce for 15 seconds before using again on ice cream.
