Prairie Farms Dairy began in Carlinville, Illinois in 1938 when dairy farmers across America were beginning to create co-ops to pool resources and establish markets to sell their products. Our first CEO, Fletcher Gourley was dedicated to creating a cooperative that would reflect the values and commitment of each farmer-owner while considering the needs of modern businesses.
Offering locally owned and locally produced dairy products carries with it a commitment to our farmer-owners, the land, our animals and our customers.
Now in our 80th year, we continue to focus on superior dairy products and excellent service. Upholding the traditions instilled in us by our founders is a commitment we take seriously and a promise to you and future generations.
