Simply Spooktacular Cupcakes


Ingredients:

  • 1 package yellow cake milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Prairie Farms "Spooktacular" Egg Nog
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup Prairie Farms butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Frosting:

  • 1 cup Prairie Farms Egg Nog
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Prairie Farms butter
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar 
  • Food coloring in Halloween Shades
  • Halloween candy treats


Directions:

    Preheat an over to 350 degrees. Insert Halloween cupcake liners into muffin pan.

    Mix cake mix, egg nog, eggs and melted butter together in a bowl until smooth. Pour batter into muffin cups. Bake for 12-14 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

    To make frosting, cook egg nog and flour in a sauce pan on medium heat until it thickens. About 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat and cool completely.

    In a separate bowl, mix together butter, shortening and sugar with an electric mixer until fluffy. Slowly beat in cooled egg nog mixture and beat again until smooth. Add desired food coloring and mix once more.

    Frost cupcakes and decorate with fun Halloween candy treats. Makes about 24 cupcakes


Ghostly Good Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies

 

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Prairie Farms butter
  • 1 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup Dutch cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Prairie Farms Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Candy Corn


Directions:

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

    In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time then vanilla and mix.

    In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients; flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir.

    Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients slowly, then blend in milk. Lastly, mix in chocolate chips.

    Drop by spoonful onto baking sheet making sure to leave some space between as cookies spread a little. Bake approximately 10 minutes until cookies appear set. Do not overcook.

    Remove from oven, and lightly press on candy corn to decorate. Makes about 28 cookies.

     

    Ghostly "Spirits" for Adult Parties

    A Ghouls Best Friend: Peanut Butter Chocolatini


    Ingredients:

    • 1 part chocolate flavored Vodka
    • 2 parts Prairie Farms Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk
    • 1/2 cup crushed ice
    • Chocolate syrup


    Directions:

      In a shaker, mix vodka, milk and ice. Shake well.

      Drizzle chocolate sauce inside a martini glass in a circular motion. For a Spider web effect, drag a toothpick up through the stripes of chocolate. Pour in cocktail mixture. Enjoy!

     

    Enchanted Egg Nog Supreme


    Ingredients:


    Directions:

    Make whipping cream according to carton directions and refrigerate until needed.

    In a shaker, mix rum, milk, nutmeg and a few ice cubes. Shake well.

    Drizzle chocolate syrup inside a tall glass in a circular motion. Pour in egg nog. Garnish with whipped cream and candy corn on top. Enjoy!
